Join us at the CCBA Fall Conference Brewery Tour in Placer County

Planning on joining us at the CCBA Fall Conference in Sacramento, December 8-10? Join us on our Greater Sacramento Area Brewery Tour, making 4 stops through Placer County from 12pm – 5pm on Sunday, December 8th. Tickets can be purchased on our website here, with drinks and lunch included.

The first stop will be at Crooked Lane Brewing Co. who recently won “California Brewery of the Year” at the California Craft Brewers Cup held at the 2019 California Craft Beer Summit. Crooked Lane took home 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in the inaugural competition held in Long Beach this past September. Hear from Brewmaster Teresa Psuty as she discusses “Quality on a Budget,” which based on their most recent accolades, is clearly working well at Crooked Lane.

The second stop on the tour will be at Auburn Alehouse, where attendees will first stop at the Annex across the street for a quick bite to eat. Auburn Alehouse is a pioneer in the Placer County brewery scene, and their long list of award-winning beers are continuously sought after by locals and passerby’s alike. Join Brewmaster and Owner, Brian Ford, as he talks about the history of his brewery and his experiences in the ever-changing craft beer industry.

Our third stop takes us to Moonraker Brewing. Opening on Earth Day in 2016 with 1,100 solar panels, this off-the-grid brewery is continually recognized as a leader in local sustainability, even producing more power than it consumes annually. Once rated as Best New Brewery in California and #9 Brewery in the World by Rate Beer, it is not uncommon to encounter a crowd waiting to try one of their highly sought-after New England Style IPA’s. Join Head Brewer, Aaron Copelin, as he discusses Hop Creep and how Moonraker manages the phenomenon.

Last, but certainly not least, the tour makes its final stop at Knee Deep Brewing Company. Born in the summer of 2010, Knee Deep has quickly grown into the largest brewery in the Greater Sacramento Area, distributing beer out of their 37,000 square foot facility to 30 states across the country in addition to Australia, Japan, China, South Korea, Thailand, Holland, and Singapore. Attendees will hear from Brewmaster and QC Manager, Dean Roberts, on how Knee Deep dials in their robust quality program to consistently deliver top-notch beers, both at home around the world.
